What ages and grades does the school serve?
LIS covers Nursery Education and Daycare, Preschool and Kindergarten (ages 3-6), and Primary Grades 1-6. Every level uses an international curriculum alongside Khmer language and culture. See our Academic Programs page for details.
What curriculum does LIS follow?
Our Preschool and Kindergarten program follows a US-based international curriculum aligned with global standards, including the UK EYFS and Singapore NEL benchmarks. The international curriculum for preschool and kinder can be found at: https://libertyeducation.co
Primary Grades 1-6 follow a US-centric international program plus the MoEYS national curriculum for Khmer. STEAM-based learning is integrated across all levels.
Do students learn Khmer, English and Chinese?
Yes. LIS is a bilingual and trilingual school: students learn Khmer (the foundation of our MoEYS-accredited model), English via the US-centric international curriculum, and Chinese. This gives children strong literacy in their home language plus the global language skills they need for the future.
Is Liberty International School accredited?
Yes. LIS is MoEYS-accredited (Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Cambodia). We implement the national curriculum in addition to our international programs, so families get both international standards and full Khmer recognition.
Does LIS follow the Cambodian national curriculum too?
Yes. Because we are MoEYS-accredited, the Khmer curriculum is the foundation of our model. Primary students follow the national Khmer curriculum alongside the US-centric international program - a dual-track approach that keeps children on track locally while preparing them globally.
What facilities does the school have?
LIS has a swimming pool, a spacious playground, smart classrooms and engaging outdoor activities. Nursery and younger children also have a dedicated full-day nursery and daycare program in a safe, caring environment.

Do parents get access to student information and learning resources?
Yes. Parents and students have access to the LIS Digital Curriculum Library (LMS) for learning materials, and a Rosario Student Information System login for student records. Both are available from the footer of every page on this site.
What makes LIS different from other international schools in Phnom Penh?
LIS combines things most schools offer only separately: an international curriculum from Nursery to Grade 6, MoEYS accreditation, trilingual learning (Khmer, English, Chinese), STEAM education, modern facilities like a swimming pool, and a digital curriculum library - all at accessible fees. Founded in 2011, we are a genuine alternative to the expensive private international schools.
Do you offer daycare?
Yes. Our Nursery Education and Daycare program provides full-day care and early learning for our youngest students in a safe, bilingual environment.
